Guatemala Mission Trip
2026
Making an impact in the local community of San Raymundo, Guatemala by building a home for a family in need through Casas por Cristo. We’ll also work on a service project for Liberty Christian Academy and Dotsero Language School!
Casas por Cristo Home Build
By working with Casas por Cristo (which translates to “houses for Christ”) the team will build a safe, functional, and secure home for a family in need. Each home has a concrete foundation, metal roof, solid walls, windows, and a door and the home is considered a big upgrade for the rural area around San Raymundo.
In four days the team will build the home from bare dirt to dedication with an extra day for a chosen fun activity like shopping. Day one is all about prepping the site and pouring concrete which is also the hardest day of the week. Day two is for framing and siding and often also pours into day three where we finish the home build by adding the door and windows. Day four is special! Any finishing touches on the home are completed and then the home is dedicated to the family. Very Powerful!
Liberty Christian
Academy
Part of what we do while in Guatemala is serve the local community as much as possible while we are there and one way we do that is by helping Liberty Christian Academy for a few hours by completing one or more service projects.
Chosen by the staff of LCA these often simple service project preformed by the team often help out the school tremendously! These project range from painting the benches, sanding and repainting the jungle-jim and even building a sand box for the kids to play in. It’s a great way to wrap up the working portion of the trip and serves the staff and students of the local community.
Dotsero Language School
Dotsero is an academy that breaks cycles of poverty by teaching English so people can get bilingual jobs. In Guatemala, English skills can double someone’s income or make work possible, helping them support themselves and ultimately the surrounding community. A portion of our students receive full scholarships, as our goal is not only to provide monthly financial aid, but to equip them with lifelong tools that cannot be taken away—skills that lead to dignity, independence, and long-term opportunities.
Dotsero stands for opening doors to work and a better future through learning a second language.
